Councillor Gary Heather

 

 

 

Gary was first elected as a councillor for Finsbury park ward in 2014, and he has been an active campaigner and trade unionist for many years, formerly being President of Islington Trades Council. Gary is also a Finsbury Park Trust trustee, chair of Andover estate residents steering group and a member of Nags Head and Finsbury Park town centre management groups. Gary is conducting academic research in the workplace, and enjoys reading, swimming and dance tunes in his spare time.

Councillor Mick O’Sullivan 

 

 

 

Mick was first elected as a councillor for Finsbury Park ward in 2002. Mick spent six years as Chair of the Finsbury Park Trust. He is currently chair of the London Federation of Housing Cooperative, a Board Member of the Confederation of co-operative Housing and an activist in the London Tenants Federation.

Councillor Asima Shaikh 

 

 

 

Asima was elected as a councillor for Finsbury Park ward in 2014 and joined the executive in 2015, and served as the Executive Member for Inclusive Economy and Jobs. Asima’s background is in Urban Development Planning, starting her career in international development in 1990s working and living in South Africa, Pakistan, India and FYR Macedonia. Before becoming a councillor, Asima worked for the Greater London Authority on London-wide economic development work.  In her spare time Asima is a keen allotment gardener and knitter.
