For many people in Islington, buses are a vital way for people to get to work, health appointments, local shops, to meet friends and family, and much more.
Transport for London (TfL) is currently consulting on a number of proposed changes to bus routes that affect Islington.
The routes that are affected are N271, 4, 134, 172, 341, 59, 476, 19, 205/N205, 45, 46 and 55.
We’re concerned these proposed changes to routes will have a serious negative impact on local people and our communities.
We are particularly concerned about plans to cut the N271, which would mean –
- No direct night bus service to Whittington Hospital
- Harder for shift workers to get to work
- Fewer night buses linking North and South of Islington
That’s why we are calling for TfL to think again and why we are urging local people to ‘Back Our Buses’!
