Councillor Alice Clarke-Perry
Alice was first elected as a St Peter’s ward councillor in a by-election in 2011. She works for a specialist public health university and has represented Labour councillors on Labour’s National Executive Committee (NEC) since 2014. Alice is an active campaigner and founding member of Islington Private Tenants, the tenants group for Islington’s private renters. Alice is a proud trade unionist and Membership Secretary of her UCU branch. In her free time Alice enjoys gardening on her allotment, swimming, yoga and sewing.

Councillor Martin Klute
Martin was elected as a St Peter’s ward councillor in 2006 and works as a Chartered Architectural Technician. Prior to that he was a professional jazz musician, and still plays 2-3 times a month at local pubs and private events. Martin is active in St Peter’s ward as a member of the Neighbourhood police panel and the Angel Business Improvement District (BID) Board. Martin is also chair of the Planning Committee in the Town Hall.

Councillor Toby North
Toby works in public affairs for a children’s charity, putting pressure on local and national governments to improve children’s lives, keep young people safe and reduce child poverty. Since moving to the borough, Toby has served as campaigns coordinator for both Islington constituency labour parties and as a ward organiser for two branches, leading on campaigns to protect our NHS build more genuinely affordable homes for local people. He is a member of the Council’s Planning Committee and children’s services scrutiny committee. He is also a school governor and secretary of the unite the union branch at his workplace.
