Councillor Rosaline Ogunro

Rosaline was first elected Councillor for St. Peter’s and Canalside Ward of Islington Council in May 2022 and sits on the Housing and Children Scrutiny Committees.
Prior to becoming a councillor, Rosaline worked for various voluntary organisations, including Islington Citizens Advice Bureau, where she currently works part time as an Adviser. She also worked in the Marketing Department of the London Symphony Orchestra as Customer Service and Office Coordinator and sang in the Orchestra’s Community Choir for more than 19 years. Rosaline also has a background in broadcasting. She was appointed to the board of trustees of St Luke’s Centre in May 2022. Her hobbies include singing, designing and making clothes and gardening.

Councillor Martin Klute

Martin was elected as a St Peter’s ward councillor in 2006 and works as a Chartered Architectural Technician. Prior to that he was a professional jazz musician, and still plays 2-3 times a month at local pubs and private events. Martin is active in St Peter’s ward as a member of the Neighbourhood police panel and the Angel Business Improvement District (BID) Board. Martin is also chair of the Planning Committee in the Town Hall.

Councillor Toby North

Toby works in public affairs for a children’s charity, putting pressure on local and national governments to improve children’s lives, keep young people safe and reduce child poverty. Since moving to the borough, Toby has served as campaigns coordinator for both Islington constituency labour parties and as a ward organiser for two branches, leading on campaigns to protect our NHS build more genuinely affordable homes for local people. He is a member of the Council’s Planning Committee and children’s services scrutiny committee. He is also a school governor and secretary of the unite the union branch at his workplace.
