In May 2022, Islington chose once again that it wanted to have a Labour Council – with an overwhelming mandate and we took that as a sign that we need to get to work to improve our borough and make it more equal for all.
We have a busy and active Executive working hard to make Islington an even better place to live. We are getting to work implementing the bold and ambitious manifesto that you elected us to introduce. However, we know there is always more work that can be done, and with the Council being forced to make cuts every year due to ongoing Tory austerity we know that times are tough right now for people and we want to support people however we can.
